Helmholtz Codes! Workshop

HiRSE, HIFIS and HIDA, now joining forces with the Helmholtz Open Science Office and the Helmholtz Head Office, are hosting the second instance of the 3-day Helmholtz Codes! Workshop for people writing and maintaining research software within Helmholtz.

This event will feature a variety of sessions:

  1. Collaborative sessions on the future of research software in Helmholtz: “Me, my code and Helmholtz”, “The Codes! initiative: one year later” and a barcamp with your ideas
  2. Keynotes:
    • Alison Kennedy (former director of the STFC Hartree Centre, and PoF cross-reviewer) on the impact of research software on the Helmholtz mission and PoF
    • Robert Haase (ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig) on Generative AI for Code Generation
  3. A poster session on the outcome of the ScienceServe projects, on the second phase of the platforms, and how to go from here

We will discuss what happened in the year since the last workshop, during the PoF reviews, and what this will mean for research software in Helmholtz. Be part of this event, help us shape it, and give research software authors a voice heard across the Helmholtz Association.
